Make Reservations Now For The  Alpine County Fall Color

The Carson Pass at Red Lake will be under road widening from August 2, 2011 to September 30, 2011. Crews will close the highway daily, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Motorists should expect 15 minute delays during the one-way traffic control and at least two hour delays during the full closures. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible. The Alternate routes are Highway 395 if coming from Southern California. Highway 50 to Meyers, Luther Pass to Highway 88-Hope Valley. Highway 88 to Woodfords.
